In November '22 we suffered a catastrophic house fire. We had only moved into the house 4 weeks prior and were looking forward to Christmas in our new home when our world was turned upside down.
Jack was initially introduced to us through our insurance company. It was clear from our very first conversation that Jack's primary focus was the reinstatement of our home and for our wellbeing; he was a reassuring figure amongst a sea of uncertainty.
Over the following few months our insurance company pulled out of the reinstatement and left us to handle things on our own. Given Jack's knowledge of the job at that point it was an easy decision for us to hire Jack directly as a building consultant and project manager to see out the reinstatement.
Over the months that followed Jack worked tirelessly, often 7 days a week, liaising with various trades, building contractors and services to ensure that the house was built safely and soundly. We were kept informed at every stage of the process and could rest easy in the knowledge that Jack had our interests at heart. Jack's unwavering tenacity coupled with professionalism and expertise meant that potential issues were headed off at the pass and things were done right first time.
One thing that really stood out for us was that Jack never lost sight of the fact that it was our home we were rebuilding; even when other workers on the site saw it simply as a process or job. This extra due care and attention meant that by the time the house was handed back to us the snagging list was small, everything had been finished well and we had gotten our house back even better than before the fire.
Over the 14 months we gained a friend in Jack and we will forever be grateful for his guidance, help and support.
